Welcome to the Richmond Pride Band…Richmond’s first queer and gay concert band! We are an inclusive, high-energy space for LGBTQIA+ musicians and allies of all skill levels to connect, perform, and celebrate our community through music.

What we’re looking to accomplish:

  • Create a community space in Richmond for queer & gay musicians and allies.
  • Meet monthly for low-stress rehearsals & music-making.
  • Perform at local Richmond Pride events & gatherings.

When does the group meet & rehearse?

We are planning for our first group rehearsal in September 2026! If you are interested in joining the group, please fill out our interest form FOUND HERE.

Do I need an instrument to join?

Yes! At this time we ask that all wind instrumentalists provide their own instrument & music stand (the collapsible kind are great).

Is there a membership fee?

No. There are no direct costs to participate in the group. FYI – We are unable to provide any musical accessories including reeds, valve oil, etc.
